A traditional Japanese couple portrait, in Kyoto.
From a kimono date
to a Japanese
wedding look.
A kimono couple portrait is for any two people who want to remember a moment together — whether you're dating, travelling through Kyoto, marking an anniversary, or newly married. Choose from antique and modern kimono for a relaxed, stylish look, side by side. No wedding, and no special reason, required.
If you'd like something more ceremonial, you can be dressed in an uchikake — the ornate silk overkimono of a Japanese bride — and montsuki-hakama, the groom's formal crested kimono. It is the look of a traditional Japanese wedding, and a favourite of honeymooners: the ceremony many couples never have, kept as a portrait of the two of you.
Either way, everything happens indoors, in one calm and private studio — dressing, hair, make-up and photography all in a single place. Your portrait is never lost to rain, heat or crowds, and the whole experience takes only an afternoon, easy to fit into a day of sightseeing.
By plan: the relaxed antique-and-modern kimono comes with Standard, while the full bridal kimono — hikifurisode and uchikake — is part of Premium.
